All of our Educators hold Early Learning and Child Care Certificates or Diplomas.
All educators have either graduated from or are enrolled in the MacEwan Universities FLIGHT Curriculum Framework (FLIGHT).
All educators follow the current best practices, and child development theories.
As GRIT (Getting Ready for Inclusion Today) Alumni all educators work hard to provide the environments for co-learning that support all children as "Mighty Learners and Citizens"- strong resourceful, and capable.
We have extra staff in each room to provide the children with supports.
Certifications Required for Employment
Additional Certification and Knowledge
All Educators participate in ongoing professional development. Opportunities include participating in weekly planning meetings, reflection / collaboration meetings, attending and facilitating conferences, workshops, and in-services, mentoring, publishing, and working with consultants and visitors to the program.
There is joy and playfulness in the work that we do with children and the relationships we have with each other.
We care about the holistic health of all people, both big and small, and understand that well-being includes not only the balance of work and family life but also ensuring that mental, physical, emotional, environmental and spiritual health are maintained.
We do our best to create a place of Vitality and make space for joy, laughter and playfulness.
Relationships are central to how we operate. We believe the quality of care we provide is directly tied to the quality of the relationships we have with the children, with families and with co-workers. We are committed to ensuring these relationships are respectful, warm & caring, honest & open; fair & equitable.
We provide culturally diverse professionally trained staff who are supported and well compensated for the work in relationship building and encouraging children in all aspects of Early Learning and Flight curriculum.
What is a Pedagogista?

The Pedagogista builds pedagogical relationships with educators, other program faculty, and families.
The Pedagogista’s role begins by working with the educators to create a shared image of the child. The Pedagogista is responsible for the following education responsibilities:
