Caring, Curious, and Connected: Exceptional Care for Infants

 At Daydreams, our Infant Program provides a warm, secure, and stimulating environment for children from 6 months, to 18 months. Guided by Reggio Emilia principles and the Alberta FLIGHT Curriculum, we believe that even the youngest learners are capable, curious, and full of potential. Every experience is designed to foster exploration, connection, and early learning through play in a way that supports each child’s individual development. 

 Our program includes sensory-rich play, gentle movement activities, music, storytelling, and cozy discovery spaces that allow infants to explore safely and joyfully. Educators intentionally respond to each child’s cues, supporting early communication, motor skills, and emotional growth. Infants also benefit from secure attachment with their educators, daily routines that foster independence, and carefully designed spaces that encourage exploration while providing comfort and safety. 

 Our Infant Program is led by highly experienced educators who are specialists in infant development and care. They bring deep knowledge of early childhood development and a genuine passion for nurturing young children, creating trusting relationships with infants and families alike. Each child’s daily experiences are guided by educators who observe, respond, and extend care in ways that honor the child’s individuality. 

 Infants thrive in our warm, thoughtfully designed environments, which include cozy discovery areas, sensory corners, and an attached outdoor play space designed for safe exploration. From gentle outdoor strolls to interactive play with natural materials, infants experience a rich, holistic environment that inspires curiosity and connection from their earliest days. 

 At Daydreams, we know that strong connections between families and our program are essential for infants’ growth and comfort. Through the Storypark app, parents receive daily updates, photos, and direct communication from our attentive educators, keeping families closely connected to their infant's day. We welcome parents to play and spend time in the classroom, especially during those first few days, to support smooth transitions and build trust. Every infant’s needs are met with care and attention — whether that means extra snuggles, more or fewer naps, or adapting routines to match each child’s rhythm. Our educators are attentive, responsive, and deeply invested in nurturing each infant’s unique personality and developmental journey. 

  Families provide all meals and snacks, creating a special bond between home and program as infants experience familiar tastes, cultural foods, and learning opportunities around eating. Educators work side by side with families, supporting nutritional preferences, bottle preparation, breast milk handling, and the transition to solids. Infants also learn early eating skills and independence in a warm, supportive environment. Whether your family provides cloth or traditional diapers,  we ensure that routines around changing times respect each infant's comfort and family preferences. By honoring these daily care rituals, we foster strong connections between home and program, creating a nurturing foundation for growth, learning, and confidence.
