Big Discoveries for Little Explorers

Our Curious Sunbeams

Growing Curiosity and Confidence

Growing Curiosity and Confidence

Growing Curiosity and Confidence

At Daydreams, our Toddler Program provides a warm and engaging environment designed for the incredible growth that happens between 19 months and 3 years. In our two beautiful toddler rooms, children are supported by exceptional educators who specialize in toddler development — creating spaces where every child feels safe, loved, and free to explore. Our days are filled with opportunities for play, discovery, and connection, guided by the principles of Reggio Emilia and the Alberta FLIGHT Curriculum Framework.

Playful Learning in Action

Growing Curiosity and Confidence

Growing Curiosity and Confidence

Toddlers are natural explorers — curious, energetic, and eager to learn. Our educators carefully observe their interests and create experiences that invite hands-on discovery, creativity, and problem-solving. Whether painting, building, or engaging in sensory play, every moment supports growth in language, motor skills, and social understanding. Educators use daily experiences to encourage independence, cooperation, and confidence while nurturing a deep love of learning through play.

A Natural Approach to Play

Growing Curiosity and Confidence

An Environment Made for Exploration

Our toddler environments are thoughtfully designed to move away from traditional plastic toys, focusing instead on natural, open-ended, and loose-part materials that inspire imagination and creativity. Children explore baskets of wooden blocks, fabric, shells, and everyday items that can become anything their imaginations dream up. Music, dancing, and joyful movement fill our rooms each day, supporting self-expression, rhythm, and body awareness — all essential parts of early learning and development.

An Environment Made for Exploration

Family Connection and Daily Routines

An Environment Made for Exploration

Our toddlers enjoy access to a large, attached outdoor play yard designed just for their age group. Here, they can dig, climb, run, and play freely in a safe, nature-inspired space that encourages gross motor development and imaginative play. Beyond the classroom, children participate in community walks and small adventures, connecting them to the world around them and building a sense of belonging within our High River community.

Traditions & Joyful Moments

Family Connection and Daily Routines

Family Connection and Daily Routines

At Daydreams, traditions are part of what makes our program special. Toddlers look forward to annual experiences like our Saskatoon berry jam-making day, welcoming visitors to the program, and celebrating milestones with family and friends. These shared moments of wonder create meaningful connections, community pride, and joyful memories that last well beyond the toddler years.

Family Connection and Daily Routines

Families provide all meals and snacks, helping to maintain a strong connection between home and our program. This approach allows toddlers to enjoy the comfort of familiar foods while supporting family preferences, routines, and cultural traditions. Our educators walk alongside families — supporting new eating skills — ensuring that each child’s nutritional needs are met with care and respect. Daily routines are thoughtfully designed to support both independence and comfort, helping toddlers feel secure as they grow in confidence and capability.
